Terms of Service

Last updated: July 9, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and VetReady (“VetReady,” “we,” “us”), the operator of vetready.ca and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

VetReady provides study tools, practice questions, flashcards, an AI tutor, and progress analytics for veterinary licensing and certification exam preparation. It is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any examination body, licensing authority, or regulator. Exam outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, and we make no guarantee that using the Service will result in passing any examination or obtaining any licence. Nothing in the Service constitutes veterinary, medical, or other professional advice, and content must not be relied upon for the diagnosis or treatment of any animal.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for providing accurate registration information, keeping it current, and safeguarding your credentials. All activity under your account is your responsibility. Notify us at hello@vetready.ca promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including accounts created with disposable or fraudulent email addresses.

4. Plans, Billing, and Trials

VetReady offers a free Basic tier and paid Smart and Pro subscription plans. Paid plans are billed through a third-party payment processor and renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. If a free trial is offered, paid access begins when the trial converts or when you purchase a plan. Promotional pricing may change with reasonable advance notice, effective from your next renewal. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable; refunds outside of legal requirements are granted at VetReady’s sole discretion. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes; where required, sales taxes (including GST/HST) will be added at checkout based on your billing address.

5. Acceptable Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own exam preparation. You must not:

  • share, resell, or make your account available to others;
  • copy, scrape, extract, or redistribute questions, explanations, flashcards, or other content;
  • use the Service or its content to build or train a competing product or any machine-learning model;
  • circumvent access controls, rate limits, or usage restrictions;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service;
  • use the Service unlawfully or to harass, harm, or defraud others.

6. Intellectual Property

VetReady and its licensors own the Service and all content, software, trademarks, and other intellectual property associated with it, except for content you submit. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service. You retain ownership of content you upload (for example, materials submitted to the AI Tutor) and grant VetReady a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, display, and otherwise use that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service on your behalf.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Portions of the content in the Service — including practice questions, answer explanations, and AI Tutor replies — are generated or assisted by artificial intelligence and reviewed on a best-efforts basis. Such content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You are responsible for verifying clinically significant information against official veterinary references, textbooks, and regulatory guidance before relying on it for study, examination, or practice.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. VetReady may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision of the Service to you would create legal, security, or operational risk. The sections titled The Service; AI-Generated Content Disclaimer; Acceptable Use; Intellectual Property; Disclaimers of Warranties; Limitation of Liability; Governing Law; and this sentence survive termination.

9. Disclaimers of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. VetReady does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific content or feature will remain available.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) VETREADY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITIES, EXAM FEES, RE-EXAMINATION COSTS, LICENSING DELAYS, OR LOSS OF DATA ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE; AND (B) VETREADY’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO VETREADY IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer-protection legislation.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Subject to any non-waivable consumer rights, the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the current version took effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
